Ease of access to materials is a big thing when completing research. If my library does not have the book I need, I have to visit another one, or request it through inter-library loan, or purchase it online. But these options are time consuming and could get expensive for a poor student like me. Timely, easy access to research materials is gold. It is why I am ever so grateful that my university houses the Lu Rees Archives. Part of my research at the moment involves compiling database of .

The question is, are we happy to suppose that our grandchildren may never be able to see an elephant except in a picture book? He ability to read. Reading allows us to navigate our world and to share the creative and imaginative space with others. Books, as repositories of knowledge, enable our species to record information and store it for the future. A book is a form of memory.

Monday, January 2, 2017. Reading over my end-of-year reflections, I notice a pattern. It comes and goes in waves How would one cope otherwise? I moved to Canberra and broke up for the first time, twice. The following year, I travelled to New York and inched towards coming to terms with my decision to break up with a man I cared deeply for.
